5th Interregional Training Session and Study Visit

The Training session in Burgas, the second-largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, focused on the fourth theme of the Innocrafts project: "Promotion of entrepreneurship among specific target groups such as young female and entrepreneurs".  Partners were welcomed at  "Sea Casino Culture center" by the Deputy Major of Culture and education of Burgas.
Six new good practices among which three were selected and labelled as "transferrable" were presented during the morning session: The Municipality of Burgas presented the initiative "The youth Entepreneurship Market and the Study Enterprise", an event that provided opportunities for young people to present and develop their own business idea.

Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture presented "Roihu", a service whose main objectives are to boost up the business support services  assisting entrepreneurship towards the achievement of a business product.

The Crafts Council of Ireland presented two initiatives realized by the Educational & Innovation department. The first one "CRAFTed: learning skills for life" is mainly centered on children educational activities while the second one "Makers awards & supports Programme" offers assistance to students and recent graduated to pursue a career in the craft and design industry.

The Municipality of Florence presented "FLR Crafts Center" a project realized to coordinate and give assistance to craftsman located in a specific area of the city, and "Contemporaneamente" a cultural and artistic event that brings together citizens tourists and craftsman in open temporary shops where it is possible to see craftmans work and their production.

The morning session of the first day ended with the presentation of Ram Central Stara Planina about  the vocational school "Pencho Semov",  focused on the production of articles of traditional and applied arts and on the free enterprise system.

In the afternoon, a press conference was held at the Sea Casino, then partners visited the Social enterprise “Sea signs” and the exhibition “The birth of crafts. Kozareva mound. A settlement from the eneolith (5 000 years B. C.). The start of the turning of home production into crafts.”

During the morning session of the second day three more selected practices were presented: "Development of the arts and crafts tourism offer" and Concours “les Noëls de l’Art” by Reims City Council and the experience of Dandelion Studio, a business in local cosmetics by Riga City Council.

The afternoon of the second day comprised two more study visits to the Ethnographic complex “Gengera”, Aytos and Art gallery "Petko Zadgorski".
